When the architectural barrier is the manager

The French managers are not aware of the law requiring them to hire at least 6% of disabled employees in their staff. This was announced by a research carried out by the association “IMS- Entreprendre pour la cité” on about 400 directors of 4 big French enterprises (Alstom Power, Areva, CNP-Assurances et L'Oréal). Only 17% of the interviewees know the national law on employment quota for disable people. Furthermore, the study highlights the persistence of some stereotypes such as that disabled people are courageous but unproductive; mangers with hight education level would be also those that consider disabled as an homogeneous and indistinct group.
