On Monday, October 31, world population will rise to 7 billion. 1 billion more than 13 years ago and 6 billion more if compared to early 1800. This is what emerges from the UNFPA (United Nations Population Fund) report just presented in Rome (the Italian version of which was edited by Aidos). 60% of the planet’s inhabitants live in Asia (about 4.2 billion people) and 15% in Africa. Americas, Europe and Oceania all together come to around 1.7 billion.
