When the quota is not a quota

The German Government has given the green light to the measure that introduces a singular version of the gender quotas. From 2013 companies, both private and state-owned, will have the obligation to take a certain percentage of female workers. Too bad that the how and what will be decided independently by the respective companies. In short, potentially to meet the new law it could be enough to hire a woman more in the staff. So you can bet that the rule approved by the Merkel Government will not close the gender gap that it is still strong recorded in the Teutonic labor market. Just think, for example, that in Germany between the leaders of the 330 major industries women are only 2.7%.
