ILO Report

More than half of the approximately 215milion child labourers worldwide risk their lives performing hazardous work. This was announced by the International Labour Organization (ILO) on the occasion of World Day against Child Labour (June 12). The highest percentage is recorded in Asia and Pacific, however, if one takes into account the number of children to total population, the record is held by Sub-Saharan Africa. The ILO also shows that even in Europe injuries and deaths at work are more common among children than among adults.
