The obscure disease of the grandparents

For most of Irish over 65 retirement comes with depression. A phenomenon that is however underestimated by relatives who mistake the real disease for bad moods typically found among seniors. The alarm is sent out by the Trinity College that has carried out an ad hoc study on a sample of 8000 aged people living on the green island. The research also revealed that the main causes of this sickness are especially two: the sudden lack of a daily commitment together with the excessive use of drugs. Moreover, the concerned ones themselves find troubles in recognizing depression-related symptoms. With the result that grandmas and grandpas are often doomed to live alone with this profound inner unease.
