Compared to the other German women, the ones with disabilities are much more at risk of violence. In fact, with an average of 35%, the 75% affirms that has suffered acts of violence. Data that strikes, considering the fact that often those are real sexual abuses committed during their childhood. Not to mention that almost always the executioner hides himself at home. In the 60% of cases, actually, the responsible of a such brutal crime is their father, brother or a friend. What matters the most is that behind these warning data there an unknown and harsher reality. Known that connected to the typical difficulties to denounce this kind of crime there are the ones arising from the physical and psychological status of people with disabilities. This is what comes out the detailed Bielefeld University report commissioned by the Ministry of Family.
