In Spain, 80% of young Roma leave compulsory secondary school before graduation. This was announced by the Fundación Secretariado Gitano, which, in order to stem the phenomenon, has launched the program “Promociona” that involves volunteer tutors in supporting of a several at-risk students throughout the country.
