The Spanish Government approved the 2011 plan to assist women victims of gender-based violence presented by the Minister of Health and Social Policy. The Iberian Executive allocated € 5milion to be share among regions. Andalusia will receive the largest amount (13.3% of total), followed by Catalonia (12.6%) and Madrid (11.6%). The lesser, 1.3%, will go instead to the communities of Ceuta and Melilla. It should be noted that € 1.5milion will be reserved only in order to develop aid programs for minors who are victims of sexual abuse. As required by the Agreement signed last March 16 by Government representatives and local authority members of the Conferencia Sectorial de Igualdad.
