15% of Belgian aged between 10 and 17 years gamble regularly, even if this practice is prohibited to minors by law. In a survey CRIOC association warns that gambling addiction would affect already about 1,5% of the sample considered. A temptation that mainly affects boys aged 13-14. Young bettors are often those who live family situations and school problems, and more than 1/3 is also a smoker. It deserve attention also their geographical distribution. In Brussels and Wallonia cities minors play much more than in urban areas of Flanders: an average of 25% compared with only 7%. Scratch cards, poker, lotteries, bingo games are the most common, to which are added all easily accessible via SMS and Internet, where they often are not required to certify the age. This is a phenomenon, on which has intervened recently, the European Commission denouncing the dramatic spread across the Old Continent where there are over 15 000 Web sites officially registered for a business of nearly € 6 billion a year.
