Remittances do not know crisis

While the city burns, there is always someone playing the harp. Surprisingly, however, are the immigrants in the European Union to have suffered less from the setbacks of the current economic crisis. The latest Eurostat data on remittances are clear. In 2010, foreign residents in Europe have sent to their origin countries € 31.2 billion. +3% over the previous year. Unexpectedly, the special list of states from which are left more saveing seen, in the first places, Spain and Italy respectively with € 7.2 billion and € 6.6 billion. Almost half of the total. Also worth that, in most cases, this huge flow of money has as destination, countries outside the EU (€ 22.3 billion).
