The World Health Organization (WHO) published a series of recommendations for the prevention of HIV among same-sex partners. According to WHO, the criminalization of homosexuality in many countries of the world would be a real barrier to the access to HIV treatment and prevention. The guidelines made by the organisation calling on governments and international health professionals to develop anti-discrimination laws to allow LGBT people to fully enjoy the right to health.
