Alcohol is still one of the main reason of early death in United Kingdom. In 2010 the number of alcohol-related death just missed the amount of 9000. In this way, as a recent study published on “The Lancet” said, in next 20 years more than 200,000 people could die early from alcohol-related diseases. Surprisingly, contrary to what most people think, individual at risk are not young people but elderly one. Alcohol-related death rate is highest among those aged 55-74 years. It would seems that old age does not take wisdom among British people. That a veritable social alert that has a cost too, NHS spend for that around 2,7 billion sterling every year.
