Migrant teenagers, risky disinhibition

Migrant teenagers, risky disinhibition

Migrant teenagers who live in Italy have more risky sexual behavior than their native peers. In particular with regard to the earliness of the first intercourse and the number of abortions. In fact, a study carried out in the Province of Bologna shows that 31% of foreign adolescents had sex before the age of 14 years. Compared with 28% of the Italians. With the aggravating circumstance that the vast majority of the immigrants confesses to have very little knowledge about contraceptive methods and sexually transmitted diseases. Not to mention that they have no idea where to ask for information or assistance concerning problems with their sexuality.
