“Made in Italy” products certified halal are 3 thousand. Companies with labels which attest that a product is suitable for a Muslim consumer, with an average of 30-40 items each, are 120 and 30 more are in the process of certification. The food ranks first, followed by the pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, but there are also transport companies and tourism and hospitality industry. This was announced by the Italian branch of the International Halal Authority.
