In Italy, over 1/3 of non-profit organizations (NPOs), in 2011, has seen a decrease in the number of private donations. While only 24% of them reported an increase over the previous year. And the situation is unlikely to improve. In the first half of 2012, in fact, NPOs who said they had collected more are only 14% of the total, against 39% who experienced a worsening. This is the result of a survey conducted by the Italian Institute of Donation (IID) on the trend of fundraising in the Third Sector.
