Every light has its shadow. The German government presented last week the second “Integrationsindikatorenbericht”, a detailed report about the situation of 16 million of immigrants belonging to both the first and the second generation. According to the report, on the hand the unemployment rate among immigrants is lower than in the past. On other hand the school drop-out rate is still high. In fact, 4,4% of youngsters with foreign origin do not graduate at the high school level. This data is decreasing overtime, but it is still the double of the German percentage. At the root of the problem it is possible to find children education. As a matter of fact, only 12,2% of immigrant family send their children to children care structure. This data has to be compare to 27,7% of Germans who do the same. But the big concern of the German government are the statistics about criminality: the number of foreigners on trial is the double if compared with the national average, and the data are particularly influenced by the juvenile delinquency.
