In Italy, in 2011, 16,000 loan applications were submitted by same-sex couples. The 65% of them in order to buy their first home. The amount of financing required exceeds € 190,000, representing 75% of the value desired, to return in about 25 years. Applicants are mainly men with a mean age of 40 years.
