Judgment
Tall or short it is the same for me

In Italy is not legally possible to establish a minimum height for the employees of administration offices. Moreover, fixing a minimum height limit both for women and man applying for administrative jobs is against the Constitution, as decided by the Italian Cassation Court after having examined the case of a young woman in Rome. The society that manages the subway system in Rome did not hire a woman because she was not tall enough (1,53 m). According to the administration, the minimum height should have been 1,55 m as established by the law 88/99 of the Transportation Ministry. On the contrary, the judges have decided that the woman could have been hired since the activities she was in charged of were featured by sedentarily and were not physically demanding. As a consequence any physical characteristics was needed.
