1st day of school after the earthquake
1,530
1,530 are temporary structures that will host the return to school of children from quake-hit areas of Emilia. Save the Children reports that more than 17,000 students of all orders and school levels will not return to their school, considered unusable. They will be located in 28 school buildings and in 1,500 temporary prefabricated modular schools. The first will be used in replacement of those schools whose reconstruction will require up to four or five years. The latters are rented and will be used for those schools that are expected to return viable within 18-20 months.
