In Germany the number of alcohol poisoning incidents jumped by 112 percent between 2000 and 2009, rising 194 percent among people aged 20 to 25. The figures have been made public by the German Centre for Addiction Issues whose annual report reveals that at least 1 in 5 Germans have alcohol problems.
