134 million boxes of tranquilizers were sold in 2010 in France. For a business of € 183 million. Over 60% of those who make use of these drugs are women and la République is the European country with the highest consumption of anxiolytics after Portugal. This was announced by the Agence Française du médicament (Afssaps) in a recent and detailed report.
