In Moldova from 2010 to 2011 only one-fifth of children with disabilities went to school. Of 15,321, only 3148 received an instruction of any kind. Amnesty International stresses the urgent need to make changes to the law on guarantees of equality and anti-discrimination, entering into force from January 10, 2013, due to the high levels of discrimination against not only the disabled, but also ethnic and religious minorities, LGBT community and HIV-positive people.
