The European committee against racism and intolerance (ECRI) released a report on progress made in fighting such discrimination in some European countries including Spain. Just in the Iberian peninsula, in front of positive steps forward, ECRI noted an increase in racial crimes among young. Despite Madrid authorities have not bothered to quantify the phenomenon. This data collection, however, is considered essential in particular to put in place strategies to stem these episodes.
