Women with a pre-existing diabetes have higher probability, about 7%, to have children with birth defects than other woman which have only 2% probability. These are the findings of a new study carried out by some researches of Newcastle University. They recommend to mother-to-be to keep their blood sugar levels below 6.1% before trying to have a baby.
