Immigrants in the hands of Cosa Nostra

Criminal organizations in Europe managing the human trafficking have diversified their business. No longer limited to prostitution, but also to other sectors such as catering and construction. The victims are lured to their countries of origin using sophisticated tricks. Often, criminal people present themselves as employees of employment agencies and they promise attractive jobs abroad. The result is that many young people seeking employment leaving hopeful their homeland to find themselves living in the host country in a very state of slavery. A mechanism that works perfectly thanks to the indispensable collusion of employers. Vying for young, low cost and easily blackmailed labor force. The alarm has been launched in Belgium by the Center for Equal Opportunities at the publication of the last annual report.
