In 2010 started a two-year study on child trafficking in the countries of Northern Europe. The report was conducted by the Innocenti Research Centre in collaboration with UNICEF and has outlined a framework about the application of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, how the issue of child trafficking in the Northern countries and the measures implemented by States. It focuses also on the rights of non-discrimination, participation and development of children and concludes by analyzing the possibility of repatriation or transfer under the Dublin II Regulation.
