In Spain in 2011 immigration decreases. According to data from the Institute of Statistics (INE), the balance of the immigrant population is negative for the first time in a decade. From January to September, in fact, arrived in Spain around 317,500 immigrants, while about 356,700 have returned to their countries of origin. The exodus is primarily for men. The forecasts also indicate that because of declining foreign population, low birth rates and emigration of Spanish citizens, the country in the next decade, will lose over half a million people.
