Access to West contents is guaranteed by using different browsers, as in particular: Internet Explorer 6.0 and upgraded versions; Firefox 1.0 and upgraded versions; Opera 9.0 or upgraded versions.

The interface can be used with a minimum resolution of 800×600 or higher.

The application is developed according to the XHTML 1.0 e CSS 2.0 standard

The accessibility to the single pages of the journal has been assessed on the basis on the WAI/WCAG 1.0 guidelines (http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG10/#Guidelines); each guideline is made up of one or more checkpoints equipped with a priority checkpoint: priority checkpoints 1 must be fulfilled, otherwise one or more groups of users will find it impossible to have access to contents; priority checkpoints 2 should be fulfilled, otherwise one or more groups of users will find it difficult to have access to contents; priority checkpoints 3 might be fulfilled, otherwise one or more groups of users will find it slightly difficult to have access to contents.

All templates fully fulfil priority checkpoints 1 of WAI guidelines.
